What it actually costs
When to go
45°C. Not a typo. Seville is one of Europe's hottest cities. Pavement radiates heat. Unbearable.
Alcazar at 9:30am opening with pre-booked tickets. By 11am the queue is 1+ hour. Cathedral same — go early.
What locals know
Flamenco: skip tourist tablaos (€30+, mediocre). La Carboneria is free, authentic, with cheap drinks.
Triana neighbourhood across the river is where locals eat tapas — Calle Betis for riverside bars at sunset.
Setas de Sevilla (Metropol Parasol) rooftop at sunset — €3 entry includes a drink. Best panorama of the city.
Tapas are often FREE with your drink at old-school bars. Order a caña (small beer, €1.50) and food appears.
Honest warnings
Summer heat is genuinely dangerous. Plan indoor activities 2-5pm. Carry water constantly.
Semana Santa (Holy Week) and Feria de Abril: accommodation triples in price and books out months ahead.
Horse carriages near the cathedral are overpriced (€50+ for 30 min). Walking is better in every way.
